Much to Say About Nothing

Sunday, September 30, 2012

This is how I feel today.

Usually, Sundays are reserved for an adventure around Boulder with my boyfriend, a Sunday Funday. Alas, midterm season has arrived like a tornado of essays, blue books, and study sheets.

The Tests Are Upon Us!

Friday, September 28, 2012

This week has settled down for me a bit with my extracurricular activities, but school is beginning to pick up. I have my first test of the semester next week, so I spent time with my professor figuring out how to prepare for her exam. It’s in my psychopathology class, where we are learning the symptoms and treatment methods for anxiety and depressive disorders, so I should be able to remember the material by using real life examples of the disorders!

Jason Mraz Concert

Thursday, September 27, 2012

This past Monday, I was lucky enough to attend the Jason Mraz concert at Red Rocks Ampitheatre. Red Rocks is located in Golden, Colorado and is, in my opinion, the best place to see a concert. The ampitheatre is built into the rocks and has a great city view as you look out past the stage. Although there is a bit of a hike up many stairs to get to your seats, it is definitely worth it once you get there. This was my first time attending a concert at Red Rocks and it definitely lived up to all of the hype.

Music Scene of Boulder/Denver

Thursday, September 27, 2012

Tonight is the night I've been waiting for since I was fourteen and first discovered the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Tonight, they're finally coming to Denver, and, unbelievabley, I have a ticket! The anticipation has been building since I first purchased the tickets in December. Tonight, my friends and I will head down to Denver to catch their show at the Pepsi Center, and I'm sure it's going to be a blast. That's one of the things I've come to love so much about living in Denver/Boulder- there are so many concert venues and they are so accessible!

Club Ball

Last week marked the first week of fall practice for club lacrosse team here at CU. We have a bigger team than normal this year, but that just adds to the fun.

Senioritis to the fullest

Thursday, September 27, 2012

Five weeks into school and I already have a severe case of Senioritis. Obviously this is really bad timing, since midterms are, well, now. And of course with it being so rainy out, no one wants to do anything but sleep. But I'll just have to power through and get it done!

Buffs win?

Sunday, September 23, 2012

We won! We're not going to go 0-12, not this year! After a rough start to our season with 3 heart breaking losses, the Buffs pulled out a road win at Washington St. this past weekend!

...Midterms Already?!

Sunday, September 23, 2012

I can honestly say that these last two weeks have been some of the busiest weeks of my college career. It has been ridiculous, and unfortunately it's only going to get worse with midterms coming up this week and for the next few weeks! But it has been pretty exciting none the less. We finally finished recruitment and welcomed 73 new members to Delta Delta Delta! Today we started the process of Revelation, which is when the Big Sisters give gifts and clues to their new Little Sisters, and I am lucky enough to get two new Little Sisters!

Running Trails

Saturday, September 22, 2012

As I've mentioned in my older posts from last school year, I signed up for my first half marathon coming up in less than a month! I've been pretty good up to this point about mixing up my running on a treadmill and hitting the pavement. I recently moved into a new apartment in August, which is located in "South" Boulder. I put south in quotes because I live more east than south from a directional standpoint, but I digress.
