Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting, these past two weeks have been crazy. I started my internship, and it's really fun! I get to speak Italian all day and meet some pretty powerful people in the Italian government, and work on how to teach Italian to children. I also just finished working on the Italian Culture Week, which I actually help organize every year at CU Boulder! It's such a fun week, and Professor Torriani does such an amazing job putting it on every year. I can't wait for this year, the theme is awesome!
The Wardenburg Health Center in conjunction with the ISSS office put out the following videos to answer important and fun questions every international student asks at one point or the other. These videos are by current CU international students.
It's useful for everyone, not just international students:
When I dream about what I will do after I graduate I dream of myself in fancy working women clothes, flying in a private jet, writing foreign policy that will change the world...I even dream of myself as being the Secretary of State.

This past week as been pretty laid back, but pretty interesting at the same time. My brother had his college orientation over the weekend. Sadly he will not be becoming a Buff like I had hoped (he wants to stay close to home), but a Wheaton Lyon! I'm so proud of him! It was interesting hearing about his orientation and then thinking all he way back to mine. Hard to think that it was only three summers ago, but it already seems so long ago. I think the funniest part about my orientation was sitting next to a boy that I would end up hanging out with for majority of my freshman year.
Today, I was on the road at 6am driving from Denver to Colorado Springs for jury duty. Waking up early, commuting and participating in this particular civic duty could be a recipe for a severe case of the Mondays for some, but I enjoyed it. I25 greeted me with sunshine and I didn’t mind the views one bit.
I love Colorado.

For the first (and last) time, I'm taking summer classes. The reasons being: I don't want to take 19 credit hours as usual during my final semester (Fall 2012) and would like to get much of the load out this summer. Also, I don't have an internship at home this summer so I might as well get 9 credits out of the way.
Anyway...
Summer classes are highly underated. I think everyone should take at least one before they graduate, especially during Maymester.

Up until a mere 24 hours ago, I believed that London was similar to that of a Harry Potter movie, with happy people speaking in quick British accents... Well, it's true, they do speak rather quickly, but London is nothing like Harry Potter. It is so much better!

Well, I've been home for about a week. It's crazy to think that I got home only a week ago, but it already seems like months ago. The weather has been so cold and rainy that it's making it even tougher to not be on the tropical beaches of Alicante! I miss my host family a lot, and my Spanish friends. But it's been fun to be reunited with my friends and family here.
My time in South Africa has been absolutely amazing. I have had the opportunity to study under some of the world’s best entrepreneurs as well as guide less experienced entrepreneurs in their endeavors, all while traveling the country and absorbing the culture. I would not trade this experience for...
