Check Your Status - International

You can check your application status through the 'Apply' tab on your MyCUBoulder account.

Once you have filled out and submitted an application, review the 'Submit Required Documents' page to make sure you have also submitted and/or requested all the required documents. Missing documents delay application processing and may affect your chances for admission. Incomplete applications cannot be reviewed until the necessary items are received. Items sent by international mail may take several weeks to reach our office, as well as additional time to be processed.

Applications and credentials submitted for admission become the property of the University of Colorado Boulder. Keep a copy of your application for your personal records.

Once you submit your application you can track your admission status through your MyCUBoulder account. There are a few different messages that you will see as your application is reviewed. Here is a list of the status messages you may see in your account, what they mean, and if any action is required by you. If you have any questions about your application status message contact the Office of Admissions.

Understanding the MyCUBoulder Checklist

Once we have processed your application and your status no longer reads "Thank you for submitting your application," you may have access to a checklist to see what credentials we have and have not received, as well as information on what you need to do next, if anything. To get to your checklist, log in to your MyCUBoulder account and click on the 'Apply' tab. On the ‘Apply’ page, click the ‘Check your status’ button in the upper right corner, and then the link that says 'View your Checklist."

Items in your checklist will be marked as initiated, complete, incomplete, or waived. If you see any of these statuses listed in your checklist here is an explanation of what you need to do:

  • Initiated: We either have not received the item or we have received it but are in the process of matching it with your application. If you have sent the item to our office, you do not need to take any action at this time. Once the item is processed, your checklist will be updated. If you have not yet sent the item marked as 'initiated," send it to the Office of Admissions as soon as possible.
  • Complete: We have processed the item and it has been added to your admission file.
  • Waived: This item has been temporarily waived in order to review your application for an admission decision.
  • Incomplete: If an item is marked asincomplete’ and you believe you have sent the item to our office, please contact our office at 303-492-6301.

Keep Your E-mail and Mailing Address Current

Throughout the admission process we will send e-mail and printed information regarding admission, registration, and orientation, as well as other information to the e-mail and mailing address you included on your application. If either your e-mail or mailing address changes after you have submitted your application, you should update them immediately in your MyCUBoulder account.
