Admitted Freshmen

If you have been admitted to CU-Boulder as an incoming freshman student, use this page as your guide to completing the admissions process and confirming your enrollment.

Next Steps After Admission
Confirm your intent to enroll - on the ‘Confirm’ tab in your MyCUBoulder account. Read the confirmation instructions carefully and pay attention to the confirmation deadline and the deposit amount. Your $ 200 enrollment deposit is not refundable if you confirm your intent to enroll and later decide not to register and attend classes. It will take at least 1 business day for your confirmation to be processed and added to your account. If you would like to defer your admission or if you will not be attending CU-Boulder, you can notify us in your MyCUBoulder account under the 'Confirm' tab.
Explore housing options - The University of Colorado Boulder helps students transition from high school to university life through its residential communities.  All freshman students are required to live on campus for two academic-year semesters, provided that space is available. Learn more about your community options (such as Residential Academic Programs or Living and Learning Communities) at housing.colorado.edu. You need to confirm your intent to enroll and activate your IdentiKey before you can apply for housing. It typically takes three business days after you activate your IdentiKey before you can apply for housing.

Students wth Disabilities must meet the same admission requirements as other students. Once admitted, students who want services from Disability Services must submit documentation of a disability directly to Disability Services and request an intake with a Disability Specialist. Go to the Disability Services homepage for more information.

Next Steps After Confirmation
Arrange for your final transcripts to be sent to the Office of Admissions. Remember that your admission is contingent on your final credentials, which must reflect academic achievement similar to our assessment at the time of admission. Send your final transcripts to the Office of Admissions, as soon as they are available, but no later than July 1, if possible. The July 1 deadline is particularly important if you are receiving financial aid. Request your final transcripts online.
Activate your IdentiKey. It is important for you, and only you, to set your IdentiKey password and remember it since it is your key to register for housing, orientation, and classes. Your IdentiKey will also allow you to log into the campus portal, MyCUInfo, your secure entry point for CU-Boulder online services and information that you need as a student. It can take up to 2 business days for your IdentiKey activation to be completed before you can access the housing application. Activate your IdentiKey now.

Sign up for orientation. Orientation sessions are a great introduction to CU-Boulder, and they are required for all new freshman students. Visit orientation.colorado.edu for more information. Orientation registration is open for spring sessions, and will open mid-spring for summer orientation sessions.
See your transfer credit report. Now that you’re confirmed, the Office of Admissions completes an initial evaluation of your transfer credit. We will evaluate your transfer credit as soon as we receive official transcripts directly from the issuing institution or an official score report from the issuing company. A final copy of the transfer credit evaluation will be available after the dean of your college or school has reviewed and approved it.
