Upon acceptance, they will take a full year of required courses in the other degree program. Coursework in the third year will be divided between both degree programs.
Students could apply for both programs simultaneously, in which case: 1) Students must apply to and meet the application requirements for each program separately, 2) Students must meet the admissions standards for each program separately, 3) Dual degree students may start either program first; however, in the first year of the dual degree program, courses are taken in one of the two departments exclusively, and in the second year, courses are taken in the other department exclusively.
