Information for Students about the Honor Code

Information for a Student Found Responsible

If a student has been found responsible of an honor code violation his/her record will be maintainted in accordance with FERPA. A record of the student's violation will reside not only in the honor code office but also in the indivdual school/college from of which the student is a member. If you have further questions regarding your record or the potential impacts of such a record please contact the honor code office at honor@colorado.edu.

All details regarding academic sanctioning are detailed in the decision letter. The decision letter is mailed to the student after the completion of the hearing. If you have questions about the decision letter please contact the honor code office. A copy of the decision letter will be mailed to the involved faculty member and the assistant dean from your school/college.

All sanctioning must be completed by the dates set forth in the decision letter. If a student fails to complete sanctioning a sanction review maybe scheduled and the student may be subject to additional sanctioning.
