Nate Bindel This position works under the general direction of the Director of Budget and Finance. The position has budget, accounting and financial analysis responsibility. Position manages the campus tuition remission process, maintains the faculty and exempt professional rosters, assists in the annual merit process and approves financial transactions for AVC offices reporting to the Provost. Tara Cilke This position greets visitors and answers the main phone line. Elaine J Montano This position works under the general direction of the Chief of Staff and oversees reception area operations and manages the calendar, scheduling, special events and travel arrangements for the Provost and Vice Provost and Associate Vic Chancellor. Position manages the comprehensive reviews for officers, manages the Distinguished Professor nomination process, coordinates Dean’s Council and Chairs/Directors Breakfast scheduling and agendas, coordinates university counsel paperwork for Provost and Board of Regent agenda items. Pat Beals Moore Under the direction of the Chief of Staff, the position oversees all HR processes for the Provost’s Office and assigned external units, provides staff support for search committees, and provides some administrative support for the Office. Responsibilities include serving as the personnel/payroll liaison by maintaining position, job and personal data in HRMS, drafting offer letters, coordinating background check processes, processing new hire paperwork, maintaining personnel records, tracking leave including FML, managing time collection, coordinating the performance management processes and paperwork for classified, officer and exempt professional staff, and managing the check-out process during separation from employment. This position coordinates the review process for classified, officer and exempt professional positions, serves as the department recruiting liaison for Jobs at CU activity, and processes Request to Proceed forms for the Division of Academic Affairs. The position provides guidance on university, State of Colorado, and federal HR and employment processes, procedures, policies and laws. This position also provides staff support to search committees convened as a result of recruitment activities within the Provost’s Office and units reporting to the Provost, HR training as needed to department administrators of units reporting to the Provost, manages the employee recognition program for the Division of Academic Affairs, serves as the department liaison for internal service units, and coordinates office moves. Cindy Giltner Pickett This position has budget, accounting, and financial analysis responsibility for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement (ODECE) and Undergraduate Education. Programs supported include Student Academic Services Center (SASC), Student Undergraduate Enrichment Programs (SUEP), Disability Services, President’s Leadership Class (PLC), Pre-Collegiate Programs, ROTC, International Education and the CU LEAD Alliance. Major responsibilities include managing the accounting and budgetary functions for all departmental accounts, including general fund, auxiliary, grant, gift, and renewal and replacement funds; serving as a financial advisor to the Vice Chancellor (VC) for ODECE, the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Undergraduate Education, and Program Directors by providing analytical support in the evaluation of existing funding sources, historical and projected spending patterns, funding commitments, and ongoing needs; reviewing operations for programmatic and fiscal effectiveness; providing analyses and forecasts and monitoring the resources available for ongoing operations and special projects; providing oversight for all accounting, purchasing, and payroll functions; managing the CU-LEAD Alliance and Norlin Scholarship programs; managing all external and internal grant awards; assisting the VC for ODECE and the AVC for Undergraduate Education with the annual budget hearing process; and coordinating the New Degree and the Department Name Change Processes. Elaine Waters This position is the Chief of Staff for the Provost Office and the financial manager for the Division of Academic Affairs. The position manages the staff in the Provost Office as well as the day-to-day operations of the office. The position also has oversight responsibility for budget in the 10 schools and colleges, Division of Student Affairs, Graduate School, Vice Chancellor for Research, Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement and four support units reporting to Associate Vice Chancellors. Major job responsibilities include managing the Boulder campus faculty and exempt professional annual merit process, the tuition remission process, resource allocations and budget restrictions, tracks all Provost funding commitments, and allocation of annual standard factor increases. Position serves as the liaison to administrative units and provides training and advice to staff and faculty regarding state and university fiscal rules and administrative policies and procedures.
