The following list provides an overview — by topic — of the information that CU-Boulder and other U.S. institutions of higher education are required to provide to current and prospective students. The list provides links to other departmental sites that disclose specific information that is in compliance with The Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA).

Academic Programs
The university's catalog site contains a summary of current campus offerings, policies and requirements; descriptions of colleges, schools and individual departments; and degree requirements, course descriptions and faculty listings. Access for Students with Disabilities

Accreditation, Approval, and Licensure of Institution and Programs
The University of Colorado Boulder is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. Individual colleges and schools are accredited by various professional organizations that provide specific guidelines to which the curricula in these disciplines must conform. Career and Job Placement Services
This website provides information for students, alumni, families, faculty and staff on career development, internship, and post-graduate employment. The website also includes a comprehensive events calendar as well as access to Career Buffs, the online recruiting system for jobs and on-campus interviewing.

Copyright Infringement—Policies and Sanctions (including Computer Use and File Sharing)
This site provides comprehensive information about the use of copyrighted materials. It includes links to campus policy on file sharing and other copyright resources for students.

Cost of Attendance
This site presents an overview of the costs associated with attending CU-Boulder, including tuition and mandatory fees, on-campus room and board, and books and supplies. Information about course fees, payment options, late and service charges, and refunds can be found at the Bursar's Office site. The Office of Financial Aid provides examples of student budgets here.

Information on the types of financial aid available, how to apply, how it is applied to your bill, and more is available

Fire Safety Policies Fire Statistics, and Fire Log (On-Campus Housing Facilities)
Information about the university's fire safety systems, procedures, and policies, is available at this site, as are data about fires that have occurred in on-campus housing since 2006.

Graduation and Retention Rates
The Office of Planning, Budget, and Analysis maintains a myriad of statistical information about a broad range of subjects.

Intercollegiate Athletic Program Participation Rates and Financial Support Data (Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act)
In compliance with U.S. Department of Education requirements, data on athletic program participation rates and financial support may be found at this site.

Net Price Calculator (College Affordability Estimator)
The Net Price Calculator is an on-line tool to help prospective students and their parents estimate the cost of attending CU-Boulder. It provides an estimate of typical expenses for a first-time, full-time undergraduate student to attend CU-Boulder and an estimate of financial aid that the student may be eligible to receive from the university.

Placement for Graduates: Jobs and Further Education
The Office of Institutional Research and Analysis administers the Alumni Survey every four years. Reported data include information about students' after-graduation employment, the types of jobs they have, and their pursuit of graduate and professional education. The Office also asks seniors each year about their immediate, post-graduation employment and further education plans, in the "Senior Future Plans" survey; those results are reported by college and by major.

Refund Policy and Requirements for Withdrawal and Return of Federal Financial Aid
This page includes everything you'll need to know if you need or want to withdraw from your courses during a semester, including information about deadlines and rules, refund assessment schedules, and the financial aid withdrawal policy.

Student Activities

The Student Life Experience
CU-Boulder has about 400 academic, social, religious, recreational, and political student clubs and more than 30 collegiate club sports.

Student Diversity

Information about student body diversity is available from the National Center for Education Statistics and from CU-Boulder’s Planning, Budget and Analysis website, which includes data on the percentages of enrolled students who are male, female, members of different ethnic and racial groups, and Federal Pell Grant recipients.

Teacher Preparation Program Report
Go to this site for annual Title II institutional reports submitted to the state of Colorado to fulfill requirements of the Higher Education Act. Reports include program requirements, goals, enrollment data, program completion data, compliance information, assessment rates (i.e., numbers of students taking and passing teacher certification/licensure tests), and accreditation information.

Textbook Information

Textbook information is available to students in the MyCUInfo portal when they access their class schedules. Information includes ISBN number and price of required and recommended textbooks.

Transfer of Credit Policies and Articulation Agreements
Go to this page for important information on transfer admission, including the undergraduate transfer credit policy, transfer credit guidelines, and course equivalency guides for Colorado two-year institutions. Under the statewide guaranteed transfer program, up to 35-37 credits of successfully (C- or better) completed course work will automatically transfer and apply toward graduation requirements at the receiving institution. Transfer-out Rates Information about proportions of new freshmen and new transfers who transfer to and complete their undergraduate education at another higher education institution is available as part of the CU-Boulder College Portrait.

Vaccination Policies
