Colorado is also home to 25 official ski and snowboard resorts. Approximately 11 are within three hours driving time from Boulder. Eldora Mountain Resort, the closest ski area, is just 20 miles away. The Rocky Mountain region of Colorado is abundant with streams, lakes, and more than 1,000 peaks over two miles high. Rocky Mountain National Park is located 45 miles from Boulder.
