The Campus
The University of Colorado at Boulder is a
Tier 1 research institution that received
more than $280 million in sponsored research
awards for the 2008 fiscal year, placing
us 13th nationally and 6th among all public
universities. The university offers 85 majors
at the bachelor's level, 70 at the master's
level, and 50 at the doctoral level. CU-Boulder's
main campus is on 600 acres right in heart
of beautiful Boulder, Colorado, which Forbes magazine
named America's smartest city in 2008.
Leadership
Founded in 1876 in Boulder
at the base of the Rocky Mountains, CU-Boulder is
led by Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano
and his leadership team. The Boulder campus was
the first of the current three-campus University
of Colorado system.

Tuition and Fees:
The Fiske
Guide to Colleges 2008 named the
University of Colorado as one of the country's "best
buys" in public higher education. Tuition and
fees for full-time students in the College of Arts
and Sciences for the fall 2008 and spring 2009 semesters
together is $7,278 (resident) and $26,756 (non-resident)
for undergraduates; $8,256 (resident) and $23,170
(non-resident) for graduate students. Fifty-five
percent of students received financial aid totaling
more than $226 million for the 2007-08 academic year.
