Here is just a sample of the multiple career paths that our majors have pursued. One thing for sure is that the sky is the limit with a degree in Women and Gender Studies.

Ingrid Alongi, ('97) Director of Technology for Red Door Interactive an Internet Presence Management Firm based in San Diego. After graduating from CU, she went on to San Diego State University for a master's in Women's Studies.

Yolanda Arredondo, ('99) Director of Shelter Services at Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence in Boulder.

Amanda Arthur ('01) is in the doctoral program in education psychology at UC Berkeley.

Juliana Barnard ('94) completed her masters and is now an epidemiologist at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver.

Elizabeth Liza White Baritt ('98) lives in Chicago, Illinois and works with the Threshold Mother's Project as a clinical therapist.

Catherine Bedell ('88) is the Founder & Executive Director of The Adopt A School Program in Boulder.

Katie Black ('05) is in law school at the University of Denver.

Stephanie Carroll ('99) attends Regis University. She is completing a master's in non-profit management. Prior to returning to school Stephanie was the Public Education Director for NARAL PRO-CHOICE Colorado.

Shannon Coffey ('05) is in the doctoral program in sociology at CU-Boulder.

Cynthia Cook ('00) is a currently studying at the London School of Economics. She makes her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Teri Craig ('85) works at CU Boulder for the Kittedge-Residential Academic Program.

Katerina (Kat) Cram ('03) lives in Broomfield and is the marketing specialists for Aspen Pet Products.

Jennifer Davis ('04) lives in Denver with her partner Kevin and young daughter. She is working towards her nursing degree at Regis.

Anne Devereux ('03) lives in Nederland and works at Boulder Community Hospital.

Jami Dennis ('00) is the placement director for ABC Nannies & Domestics, Inc. in Denver.

Carol Dineen ('85) is a certified midwife and can be reached at Dineen Flame, Home Birth Midwife in Boulder.

Amanda Dyer ('03) completed her MSW from the University of Denver and currently works as a social worker and Youth Matters Coordinator for the University of Denver's Bridge Project.

Brook Engebretson-Horton ('04) is the co-owner of Lori s Café in Lafayette, Colorado along with a catering business.

Molly Marsh Fager ('93) is the Executive Director, The Dairy Center for the Arts, Boulder, Colorado.

Christl Findling ('89) lives in Golden, Colorado with her husband and son. Since graduation she has explored careers in biology research, sales environmental engineering, and hazard materials remediation.

Olympia Franscone ('99) is an elementary school teacher in the Denver Public Schools.

Mary E. Frye ('91) lives in Phoenix and is an independent consultant and project manager for Heritage Planning, a non-profit, which looks at cultural influences on development across the U.S.

Melanie Gilbert ('96) is a Magistrate at the District Court for Adams County Judicial Center in Denver where she presides over juvenile delinquency and truancy cases.

Sara Greenberg ('01) works at the National Jewish Research Center in Denver as a Quitline Counselor.

Bonnie Gross ('05) is a development associate at the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.

Alison Hatch ('99) is completing her Ph.D. in sociology at CU-Boulder.

Liza Hensleigh ('05) is a peer advisor for CU's Office of International Education.

Sara Hering, ('04) is currently living in Anchorage, Arkansas where she works as a direct services advocate at a local rape crisis center.

Clara Hogan ('03) completed her master's in nursing from University of Colorado Health Science Center and is currently a registered nurse at the CU-Health Science Center.

Amy Hollander ('86) is the manager of Longs Peak Energy Conservation Weatherization and Home Rehab Programs for Boulder County.

Sharmaine Jackson ('99) graduated from Rutgers School of Law in May 2002. She is currently working on her first book for parents of children whose race differs from their own. She has previously worked for the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Denver and plans to return to that office in fall 2006.

Marti Kovener ('86) is Senior Research Associate for the Institute for Law and Justice in Alexandria, Virginia.

Megan Lederer ('00) entered medical school at University of Colorado Health Science Center in 2004.

Candice Lopez ('04) is the campus organizer for the Feminist Majority Foundation in Arlington, Virginia.

Linda McCarthy ('90) is an Assistant Professor at Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, MA. After graduating from CU's Women's Studies, she completed her MA in Sociology and an Ed.D in Social Justice Education in 2003 from UMASS.

Shaunna McGrath ('01) is the business assistant and the project manager for the Susan G. Komen Grant and the case manager for the Colorado Women's Cancer Control Initiative at Women's Health, Boulder Valley Women's Health Center in Boulder.

Jennifer Mack ('98) is a realtor with Downing-Frye Realty, Inc. in Naples, Florida.

Tiffany Marlin ('96) is a social worker in Arlington, Virginia.

Leisa Meyer ('83) is an Associate Professor of History and American Studies and Director of the Women's Studies Program at the College of William & Mary.

Stephanie Mohr ('04) is the Service and Support Administrator for Hancock County, Ohio, Board of Mental Retardation and Mental Disabilities. She is currently earning an MA in counseling.

Jacky Morales-Ferrand ('85) is the Director of Housing and Neighborhood Development for the City of Denver.

Kate Holien Murray ('01) lives in Berkeley, California and works for the Oakland Unified School District.

Meredith Newman ('04) is working towards her MSW at the University of Denver.

Danielle L. Pacik, ('95) is an associate attorney with Devine, Millimet and Branch, P.A, in Manchester, New Hampshire where she lives with her husband.

Tabatha Parker ('96) is a California licensed naturopathic doctor. She currently serves as the Executive Director for Natural Doctors International, a non-profit corporation that provides naturopathic health care to underserved communities around the world.

Eric Paul ('00) is the COO of River Rock Marketing in Boulder.

Karey Perham ('04) is completing her law degree at the University of Denver, while interning at the Colorado Legal Services.

Diana I. Phillips ('90) is the Owner of Two Hands Paperie in Boulder and a member of the WSMT Advisory Board.

Dayna (Vise) Rattray ('02) graduated from CU Law School in 2005, and after clerking for Judge Daniel C. Hale, Boulder District Court, is working at Colorado Public Defender's Office.

Dawn Reinfeld ('96) is completing a second degree in graphic design. She, her husband and their young son, Cody lives in Boulder.

Michelle Richardson ('00) is Democratic Counsel to the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary, and resides in Washington, D.C.

Rayme Rossello ('90) is the Co-Owner of Proto's Pizzeria Napoletana in Boulder, Denver, and Longmont.

Laura Sabino ('86) completed her master's in women's studies from Ohio State. She lives in Evanston, Illinois and works as the Executive Director for Lake County Haven in Libertyville, a homeless shelter serving women and children.

Robin Seidner ('88) is the president of Copy Diva, a Boulder company providing marketing and copyrighting services business to business.

Marni Siegal ('96) lives in Rollinsville, Colorado and is the Latina Program Coordinator for the Boulder Valley Women's Health Center.

Tiffany Smith-Fleischman ('98) is a certified professional midwife in Seattle.

Rachel Newell Smith ('98) lives in Denver and is currently a Breastfeeding Counselor, while staying at home with her children.

Jennifer Sprinkle ('04) is a Financial Aid Specialist at the University of Denver. In addition, she is the co-chair to the 11th Annual DU Women's Conference.

Nina Sundell ('98) is the Director, Holocaust Awareness Institute in Denver.

Shalini Swaroop ('04) has been traveling, learning, marching for peace and working in India and Nepal since graduation.

Tiah Terranova ('05) lives in Chicago while pursuing a degree in clinical psychology at Argosy University.

Kristi Tredway ('98) is the President of the Southern Maryland Tennis and Education Foundation in Leonardtown and has just been elected to the board of directors of the United States Tennis Association/Maryland District.

Karen Lozano Treitsch ('99) has a consulting business called Just Peace Works, and is now working for Avon Breast Cancer Research.

Tara Tull ('85) is the Interim Assistant Dean of Letters, Arts & Sciences, Metropolitan State College at Denver and is member of the WMST Advisory Board.

Alex Urquhart ('04) is in the doctoral program in American Studies at the University of Minnesota.

Dona Vaticano ('98) lives in Evans, Colorado and is an attorney in private practice.

Kristi Vendetti ('03) is currently on staff at the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center. She graduated from DU in 2005 with her masters in social work.

Amanda Greene Webster ('00) is an English teacher at Battle Mountain High School in Vail, Colorado, where she is also the faculty sponsor of the violence prevention program.

Julia Willis ('85) received her WMST Certificate in 1985 and went on to complete her Ph.D. in English from Rutgers in 1996. She is currently the Coordinator for the Student Academic Service Center in the office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs on the Boulder Campus.
