Letter from the editor:

            Last semester Evoke was created by the Tri-Chairs of the WRC Advisory Board to bring the theme of the WRC to fruition in the wider campus community. The theme is, “Defining my Womanhood, Embracing our Liberation.” Evoke is intended to be a space for different communities to intersect on the common ground of women’s issues, womanhood, and liberation from a multitude of different perspectives.

            In its first edition, Evoke published online. This semester, we publish for the first time in hardcopy with support from the WRC and the Program for Writing and Rhetoric. We are extremely excited to see our collective work in hardcopy all over campus and we hope you enjoy it. Thank you to all the writers and artists who submitted work. This certainly would not have been possible without your creativity and willingness to share your knowledge and experience.
