About/Herstory and Mission

Mission: To bring the WRC's theme into fruition through the literary and artistic expression of the wider campus community.

Herstory: Evoke was created by the Tri-Chairs of the WRC Advisory Board to bring the new theme of the WRC, "Defining My Womanhood, Embracing Our Liberation" to the wider campus community not regularly involved in the WRC or even exposed to women's issues. It was created to be a space for different communties to intersect on the common ground of women's issues, womanhood and liberation coming from a multitude of different perspectives. The name "Evoke" perfectly expresses the purpose of the journal, to evoke awareness and expression where it lies dormant.
