Outreach Coordinator:
Sophia Surage

Sophia!

My name is Sophia Raine Surage and I am currently a senior at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I work as a co-outreach coordinator at the Women’s Resource Center and I am double majoring in Women and Gender Studies and Ethnic Studies. I am also a part of CU Boulder’s Gender Justice League feminist practicum through the WGST department.
My life outside of and intertwined with academics involves loving food (especially pasta and chocolate) reading, salsa dancing, listening to all kinds of music, working in a bakery on the weekends, and enjoying the company of my friends and family. My favorite seasons are Summer/Fall, I love animals, and I love the night sky. I also happen to be left handed like Jimi Hendrix and the President.

Contact Sophia: (303) 492-5713 or wrcoutreach@colorado.edu

Outreach Coordinator:
Hibaq Loyan

Hibaq

Hibaq is a pre-health sophomore majoring in Integrative Physiology. Human rights and donuts are her passions. As a campus Outreach Coordinator, she works to promote inclusivity and diversity on campus, as well as making the W a safe space for all students. In her spare time, she likes watching movies, reading books, making people laugh, and sleeping.

Sandra

I am a sophomore double majoring in IPHY and Neuroscience with a minor in WMST. I love the outdoors--going hiking, swimming, snowboarding, just anything that is active and gets the adrenaline pumping. I also like to just relax with some loud music, great food, and some of my friends.

Contact Sandra: (303) 492-5713 or wrcvolunteers@colorado.edu

Health and Wellness Coordinator:
Julia Woods

Julia

Julia is a senior majoring in neuroscience. As the Health & Wellness Coordinator, she facilitates Well Fed, (the W’s health and nutrition programming series,) and works with on and off-campus resources to organize an assortment of annual events. In her free time, Julia amuses herself by commandeering other peoples’ pets, reading, browsing unusual craigslist offerings, and practicing her Chinese (which is getting rusty.)

Contact Julia: (303) 492-5713 or wrchealth@colorado.edu

Program Coordinator:
Ruvini DeFonseka

Ruvini

Ruvini is a Senior studying IPHY, MCDB, and Studio Art. She works as a Co-Marketing Coordinator at the Women's Resource Center designing posters, buttons, and bookmarks. She also works with Transfer Students in the residence halls getting them adjusted to Colorado. She enjoys working at the W because of the welcoming and energized community that she is surrounded by who encourage and inspire her. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball, talking to her fish, and getting 9 hours of sleep :)

Contact Ruvini: (303) 492-5713 or wrcprograms@colorado.edu

Program Coordinator:
Cameron Elder

Cameron

Cam likes to consider himself a man of analogy parading phosphorescent dreams. By seeking knowledge and understanding through written word, comes an increased likelihood to empathize with others different from ourselves. He works passionately to help stress the importance of working toward social change and equity. He is a senior majoring in Women and Gender Studies and English Literature. After he graduates, Cameron is looking toward graduate school to further his education in journalism and gender studies. As an ally and advocate for women's rights and equality, Cameron is honored to serve as programming coordinator because it allows him to meet some inspirational feminists who do (or have done) amazing things around campus, in the broader community, and globally.
