WRC Permanent and Student Staff

The Women's Resource Center is comprised of a core staff of volunteers, a variety of student staff, a Director, Program Assistant, Associate Director, and an Advisory Board.  Read further to find out about each position and our current members.

 Director:
Barbara Kulton

As the Director of the WRC, Barbara directs and administers the center; supervises permanent, student, and volunteer staff; advocates for gender equity and social justice at CU Boulder and serves as a consultant to campus departments; fiscally manages the WRC by the development of annual budgets. Along with student staff, she develops diverse programs pertaining to women's issues. Barbara networks with student, staff, and faculty organizations and campus offices to form and sustain solid positive relations and partnerships throughout the campus and Boulder communities.   She co-chairs the Student Affairs Diversity Committee and the CU Dialogue Network as well as serves as a committee member on the Chancellor’s Committee on Women (CCW), the Transgender/GenderQueer task force, the Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment task force, and the Student Leadership Initiative.  When not on campus, Barbara might be found experiencing the joys and challenges of parenting two young adult children- Sarah and Sam; bicycling on the prairies and in the mountains; hiking and skiing with friends and her Chocolate Lab, Stella; performing with her marimba ensemble, "The Low Flying Knobs"; or just sitting quietly in her garden.

 Associate Director:
Amanda Griffin-Linsenmeyer

As the Associate Director of the WRC, Amanda supervises student and volunteeAssociate Director: Amanda Linsenmeyer-Griffenr staff; advocates for gender equity and social justice at CU Boulder and provides resources to campus departments; serves as a committee member on several campus wide initiatives; and organizes the WRC¹s Herstory. In collaboration with student staff, she develops diverse programs pertaining to women's issues.  When not at the WRC, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and crafting.

 Office Manager: Hannah Wilks

As the Office Manager Hannah works closely with the Director and Associate Director to coordinate support for budgeting, marketing, volunteer support, logistics, as well as student development. Hannah is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Political Science and Women’s Studies.  Hannah has worked for several national non-profits and is excited to be a part of the CU community and the WRC.  In her free time Hannah likes to take road trips to see friends and travel anywhere there is a beach!

Marketing and Web Coordinator: Suny Gao

As Marketing Coordinator, Suny works closely with the Media Relations Coordinator and Program Coordinators. Suny decides on the various forms of
advertising the Women's Resource Center utilizes.  She designs fliers, posters, advertisment's, and many other promotional tools. Suny also maintains, updates, and designs the WRC website. Suny is a senior and is working on a degree in Media Studies and a certificate in Technology, Media and Arts.

Outreach Liaison
Coordinator:

Felicia Montano

As the Outreach Coordinator, Felicia
networks and collaborates with various
student groups in order to build and
sustain strong relationships on the CU
campus. Felicia is also a member of the
INVST Community Studies/Leadership Program. In her free time she enjoys boxing, going salsa dancing, and watching Nuggets games. Felicia is pursuing a degree in psychology.

 Media Relations Coordinator:
Andee Coco

As Media Relations Coordinator, Andee works with the Marketing Coordinator to promote Women's Resource Center events. Andee serves as a liaison between the WRC and media outlets to publish information and represent the WRC's purpose. She covers such jobs as placing
announcements in the Student Buff Bulletins and writing press releases. Andee is a Junior pursuing a degree in Sociology. During her free time, Andee likes to instigate intense discussions about gender and find the best Happy Hours in Boulder.

 Co-Outreach Coordinator:
Bethany Andrews

Bethany Andrews is a senior broadcast news major. Her oustanding personality is exemplified through the work that she does here at the Womens Resource Center as an Outreach Coordinator. In her free time she likes participate in theatrical productions.

 Volunteer Coordinator:
Windy Alarcon

As the Volunteer Coordinator, Windy networks in the CU Boulder Campus and across the community to gather an amazing group of volunteers whom she has the privilege of knowing and closely working with with throughout the school
year. It gratifies her knowing that her work is helping to better CU's campus environment while she also gets to meet incredible people. Windy is very competitive but down to earth, and she loves to play many types of sports. She is always up for trying something new.

 Co-Program Coordinator:
Elena Pellicer

As a co-program coordinator, Elena helps plan and run the events puton by the WRC.  She works closely with the rest of the staff to make these programs happen.  She is a Freshman at CU this year and is still trying to figure out what she wants to study.  Elena also works as an intern at the Volunteer Clearing House.  In her spare time, Elena loves to rock climb, ski and eat/cook fabulous food.

Co-Program Coordinator:
Julie Combest

 

Julie is the Co-Program Coordinator and works with others at the WRC to plan and facilitate fabulous events!  Julie is a Women and Gender Studies Major, and also in the LGBT certificate program.  She is passionate about social justice, eradicating gender (or multiplying it exponentially), and participating in peaceful, yet radical revolution.  When not at the WRC, Julie volunteers at the LGBT Resource Center, protests injustice, attends poetry slams, and bakes vegan pumpkin pie.
