APRIL 10th
CU Going Local brings local foods to the campus community while providing education and outreach opportunities for students and faculty. The group’s goals are to raise awareness about the benefits of buying local, host gardening and permaculture workshops and make the dining halls on the CU boulder campus, and eventually all CU campuses at least 40% local.
Project: Prepare an on-campus community garden for spring plantings.

One World Running is an international program promoting an awareness of health, fitness and nutrition by providing running shoes to those in need in the United States and around the world. OWR also puts on 5K walk/runs to foster an environment of exercise and to increase understanding and goodwill between people.
Project: Prepare, sort and pack shoes to be delivered to Haiti and other communities around the world.

Easter Seals has been helping individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families, live better lives for more than 80 years. Whether helping someone improve physical mobility, return to work or simply gain greater independence for everyday living, Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve personal goals.
Project: Restore nature trails and prepare camp for spring and summer programs.

The mission of Mercy Housing is to create stable, vibrant and healthy communities by developing, financing and operating affordable, program-enriched housing for families, seniors and people with special needs who lack the economic resources to access quality, safe housing opportunities.
Project: Crafts, sports and cross-cultural activities with local and international youth living in Denver.

The ultimate goal of Flatirons Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by building adequate housing. Furthermore, all of our words and actions are for the ultimate purpose of putting shelter on the hearts and minds of people in such a powerful way that poverty housing and homelessness become socially, politically and religiously unacceptable.
Project: Spend the day helping to build a house for a local family in need.

Project: Make education fun for local students! Help Catlyst High science teacher operate Legos NXT rolling robot over a test course. Help test measuring equipment used in creating programs for rolling robots.

STAND, the student-led division of the Genocide Intervention Network, envisions a world in which the international community protects civilians from genocidal violence. At its core, our mission is to empower individuals and communities with the tools to prevent and stop genocide. Forever Buffs is the CU Alumni Association’s initiative to create lifelong CU relationships.
