Meet the Vice Chancellor

Jeff Lipton, Interim Vice Chancellor for Administration, brings more than 30 years experience to this position and has served once before as interim Vice Chancellor for Administration in 2008. Jeff has previously served as director of real estate for CU-Boulder, interim business manager for the CU athletic department (2006-07), executive director of facilities management (1998-2006), and director of business and telecommunications services (1982-1998).

Jeff holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder. Jeff has held Board and member positions in the Association of University Real Estate Officials and is a member in the Association of University Related Research Parks. Jeff volunteers in the community and is currently the Chair and member of the City of Louisville Planning and Zoning Commission. In addition, Jeff participates in the University of Colorado Athletics Department Mentoring Program, is a member of the Board of Directors for Dry Creek #2, Anderson Ditch Companies, and the Buffalo Power Corporation. Jeff also serves as the University of Colorado Athletic Department Football Game Day Liaison with the PAC 12 Game Officials and Referees, and previously did so with the Big 12.

Jeff has received both the University of Colorado Robert L. Stearns Award, which recognizes members of the faculty and staff for extraordinary achievement and service, and the CU Alumni Association Kalpana Chawla Outstanding Recent Alumni Award, which recognizes outstanding career achievement, as well as significant contributions to the community and/or the University.
