Maintaining and Renewing Scholarships - Graduate Students

You will want to know the requirements for maintaining and renewing any scholarships that you receive. These requirements typically include a minimum GPA, full-time enrollment (9 credit hours for graduate students, please note: this may be different than your academic program definition of full-time) and program or service participation. In addition, you must be making satisfactory academic progress toward your degree to remain eligible for any financial aid including scholarships. Scholarship Services will notify you donor if you fail to meet CU-Boulder satisfactory academic progress standards. We will return scholarship funds if the donor requests that we do so.

Scholarship Services will send an official transcript to your donor on your behalf if the donor requests us to do so. However, we must have your signed approval before releasing grades and/or financial information to private scholarship donors. Please see Grade Release Form.

Most CU-Boulder graduate funding is administered through the Graduate School. Please check with the Graduate School or your academic department for information on maintaining and renewing your graduate funding.
