SHIP aimed to give you that international experience on campus right in Smith Hall through various academic and social activities. There are a variety of scholarships that could allow you to continue your international education even after graduation.
One of particular interest is the Fulbright Student grant. We administer this grant here in the Office of International Education and would be very glad to work with you if you are interested in applying
The current competition will open on May 1, 2009 with a September 2009 deadline. Grants are for the academic year fall 2010 and spring 2011. The grant could be to study, conduct research on a project that you design, or assist with teaching English in a middle or high school abroad.
You do not need to be enrolled at a university to apply, but you must have a bachelor's degree when the grant begins (so you must be graduating by August 2010 to apply).
