Email Lists

CU Electronic Mail:
We at ISSS strongly encourage all international students to use and to regularly check their "colorado.edu" email account, since University policy states that students are expected to check their official email address frequently in order to stay current with University communications. All students are eligible for the free email account through CU. To set it up, follow the instructions on CU Connect; if you have any questions, please contact the Telecommunications Help Desk.

FS Adviser E-Newsletter
:
FS Adviser is the e-newsletter produced by ISSS on a regular basis throughout the year. We expect you to subscribe and read it regularly, as ISSS uses this e-newsletter to communicate important information about events, scholarships for international students, and changes in immigration laws and practices to all international students on campus. Each week or two you will receive an email from “Adviser,” which is the ISSS general email account. The subject line will say “FS-Adviser” and the date the issue is emailed. ISSS expects you to read and be responsible for the content. We understand that you are busy, so the newsletter is concise and organized (and color coded) so that the most critical information comes first. If you don't have time to read all of it, a quick look through every week should tell you if you need to read in more detail.

To subscribe:
1. Send a message to: listproc@lists.colorado.edu
2. In the body of the message type: “subscribe fs-adviser first name last name”
For example, “subscribe fs-adviser John Smith”
3. Send the message.

Be sure to save all the instructions the list master sends regarding the digest.

CU's Alert System:
It is recommended that you sign up for the University of Colorado’s alert system to receive email and/or text message alerts about potential emergencies or weather closings on campus. For more information and to sign up, please see: http://www.colorado.edu/alerts/signuphelp.html
You will need to have a "colorado.edu" email address and/or a phone that can receive text messages.
