VOLT: Middle/High School Survey
The VOLT is an online school climate survey for middle and high school students in grades 6-12. All schools administer the Core Survey questions and can choose any Optional Modules that fit the needs of the school.
Some of the topics on the core survey include:
• Bullying Victimization and Perpetration
• Perceptions of Feeling Safe at School
• Perpetration of Aggression
• Delinquency
• Substance Use
• Truancy
• Parental Control and Monitoring
Some of the topics of the Optional Modules are:
• Teen Dating Violence
• Weapon Carrying and Use
• Mental Health
• Gang Participation & Presence of Gangs
• Involvement in Community Activities
• Physical Health Status and Exercise

To administer the VOLT, schools must:
- have access to a computer lab with internet access where students can take the VOLT
- schedule the survey administration after students have been back in school for at least 60 days
