Teaching Portfolio Consultation
At CU, as on many campuses nationwide, student evaluations are regarded as insufficient indicators of the quality of teaching. Faculty are thus encouraged, and may even be required, to compile a Teaching Portfolio—a collection of documents recording their teaching philosophy and their teaching performance. By pairing a faculty member with a Faculty Associate who works within the guidelines of a particular department, the FTEP can help in the development of a portfolio that suits the faculty member’s individual style.
