Pre-Prof Program

The Pre-Prof Program is a joint endeavor of the Graduate Teacher Program and the Undergraduate Academy. The project's goals are to introduce promising undergraduates to the requirements and realities of graduate school and to faculty careers. Each year we identify undergraduates who serve as Pre-Prof Leads.  The Pre-Prof Leads participate in the Lead Graduate Teacher Network, attend Lead Graduate Teacher Training, and provide programming for undergraduates. Pre-Prof Leads also received the Best Should Teach Silver Award to recognize their leadership.

Associate Professor Melinda Barlow serves at the Pre-Prof Lead faculty mentor.

Pre-Prof Leads for 2007-2008 are Zuhra Faizi, History; Tom Ragole, Biochemistry and Spanish; and Chelsea Bridges, Humanities/English.
