Research Assistants
The Graduate Teacher Program provides professional development opportunities for research assistants and for other graduate students who are not employed as teaching assistants or as graduate part-time instructors. Because teaching preparation is preparation for any career, research assistants are encouraged to participate in all Graduate Teacher Program activities.
The program also offers specialized workshops in grant proposal writing, resume and CV preparation, public speaking, job interview assistance, research misconduct, and career opportunities.
Graduate Teacher Program Research Activities
The Graduate Teacher Program carries out research activities on teaching. A recently completed study gathered information on instructors (faculty and teaching assistants) with disabilities.
The Graduate Teacher Program supports research-based interventions to improve classroom teaching.
