The CU Softball Team is a member of the University of Colorado Collegiate Sports Clubs Program. We compete against other college and universities within the National Club Softball Association. As a member of the CU Softball Team, we require a commitment throughout the fall and spring seasons of approximately 8-10 hours per week. We compete in regular weekend tournaments during the spring season, both here in Boulder and at nearby institutions in Southern Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. The NCSA World Series is held in April each year. As a member of the CU Softball Team, we ask primarily for your dedication and commitment to the team. We understand everyone is busy in college, but we believe that communication is the key to building a successful team. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact Anna Wilcoxen via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fundraising and Dues
As a club sport, rather than a varsity sport, we do not receive full funding from the University and are therefore responsible for fundraising most of our organizational costs. Club dues are approximately $300 for the entire year which covers travel and tournament expenses, uniforms, equipment, field rentals, umpires and coaches stipends. An additional $30 is required by Collegiate Sport Clubs and acts as a refundable deposit for the uniforms. Fundraising opportunities include Youth Player Clinics, letter writing, Silent Auction, volunteering at Football and Basketball games, seeking sponsorships and many others!
