CENTURION CLUB

A CU FAMILY ASCOCIATION

During the reign of the mighty Roman Empire, Centurions were professional officers in the Roman infantry. The Centurions often took heavy casualties, as they took the key place in battle, and always fought alongside their troops. The Centurions embodied the Latin expression, Ductus Exemplo (Lead by example).

Like the Centurions who were hardened by their actions on the battlefield, yet bound together by a great sense of history and tradition, we encompass a special fraternity of men, of brothers, and of friends. Today these young men differ little from these warriors of old, toughened by the blood and sweat left on the pitch and bound by a sense of pride and tradition that the CU Men's Rugby seeks to glorify.

      Friends and Family,

Today we have a more competitive vision for CU Rugby. We hope to increase the rank in our program after finishing fourteenth and fifteenth in Division 1 rankings for the last two seasons. You can help us achieve our goal by joining the Centurion Club. Centurion Club members will receive the Coach’s Corner, a post game update via postal or electronic mail after every match and a quarterly newsletter with updates, interviews, and upcoming events. The Centurion Club is a yearly fee of $50.00. This money will go toward scholarships to attract talent to our program, and travel expenses for the team as we try to broaden our reach across the United States. Your generous contribution will also help with finances towards uniforms, paying referees, and field rental. With your help, we believe we can compete with top ranked varsity programs such as Cal, BYU, and Navy. We ask you to be apart of an expanding club and a new tradition.

CU Men's Rugby is more than a club sport. It builds a sense of pride and accomplishment. Moreover, it demonstrates the rewards gained by a solid work ethic dedication, and time management. CU Men's Rugby places skilled individuals on the pitch during the academic year, but more importantly, it prepares these men for the rigors of the world outside of the University. Please support our efforts as we develop CU Rugby. On behalf of the members of CU Men’s Rugby, Thank You!
