The CU Boulder Kayak Club often does weekend paddle trips to nearby river runs. The club also participates in several events such as the CSM IceBreaker, held in the playpark in Golden, CO. Winter and Spring breaks also provide opportunity to travel and see new places with fellow club members. Playboaters enjoy the Golden playpark while intermediate river runners run the Arkansas and South Platte. Some of the more advanced river runners often challenge Gore Canyon of the Colorado, a demanding section of Class V whitewater.
