Anyone interested in being on the
team should attend
For tryouts for the
2009-2010 season, there will be a mandatory audition that will cover the
required technique for the team. The
tryout schedule is linked below. All
participants will turn in the tryout application and $20 tryout fee during
registration. All the money made from the tryout fees will go towards the
2000-2010 team's travel expenses. Click here for more
information on the fee. The link to the application is below. During the
audition, dancers will stretch, warm-up and proceed to demonstrate their
technique. Following, a dance will
be taught and later performed. This dance will incorporate a pomm section,
a hip-hop section, and a jazz section. Technique will also be incorporated
into the dance. All participants
will be put into groups to perform in front of the judges. The participants
will demonstrate the required technique and the dance taught during the
audition. Although the judges won't be present during the clinic, the coach
will be there, and attitude and effort can make or break your chances of
making the team. After tryouts are completed all participants will be
emailed the decision within 24 hours.
