Race: University of Wyoming

The CUCycling team travels to Laramie, WY for a weekend of excellent racing on some of the best single-track in the West. The weekend features Cross Country and Short Track mountain bike races. Awards to top three riders in each category.

New Site Feature: Race Rides

Race: Fort Lewis College

Next stop: Durango, CO. The team travels across the state, braving snow storms, to compete at host instutition Fort Lewis College.

September 16-17, 2006
Race: Colorado School of Mines

The team's cycling season continues in Nathrop, CO. Nathrop is located in the Arkansas River Valley. 19 miles north of Salida and 7 miles south of Buena Vista. Race signage will be posted on both sides of Hwy 285 a quarter mile from the race location. Registration is visible from Hwy 285 to the west once in Nathrop.

Fall Organizational Meeting

The University of Colorado Cycling Club competes in road racing, mountain biking, down hill, dual-slalom, cyclo-cross, and track racing. We have regular training times in the fall and spring, and our competitive season runs from March through November. If you're into cycling, come join the club and ride with us!

This Saturday, the 18th, CU is hosting a criterium at the research park. Check out the race flyer for all the competitor info, or if you want to come watch, be sure to look at the spectator information sheet.

Spring Semester First Meeting
The first meeting of the semester was held on Monday night, the 23rd. For those who missed out, check out the info sheet with all the important data for getting up to speed on the collegiate road season this spring.

Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals
The University of Colorado mountain bike nationals team edged out Ft. Lewis College to take the division 1 national championship. Individual event winners included Jessica Vogt (Mountain Cross and Downhill), Josh Bezecny (Cross-country), and Tim Sharpe (Downhill).

Collegiate Track Nationals
Seven CU riders represented at collegiate track nationals, taking 5th in the team omnium. The CU riders were Missy Thompson, Nicole Novembre, Sarah Levy, Kevin Suhr, Kevin Selker, Ryan Luttrell, and Karl Erickson.

Our 2005 National's Road Team Members are: Men: Collin Becker, Josh Bezecny, Adam Blanchard, Rolf Eisinger, Taylor Kneuven, Allen Krughoff, Jordan Logan, and Dana Mosman. Women: Molly Hummel, Sara Levy, Kelly Murphy, Nicole, Jenna, and Missy Thompson. Congratulations to all of the riders.

CU Criterium
CU Cycling in conjunction with Boulder Racing will be holding our annual criterium and fundraiser at the CU Research Park Saturday March 19th. More details can be found at Boulder Racing.

CU Cycling Ride-A-Thon
CU Cycling will be holding their largest annual fundraiser, the CU Cycling Ride-A-Thon, on Saturday,March 5th, 2005 at 9:00 from the Fun Park on Hwy. 36. Members of CU Cycling and alumni will participate in either a 50-mile or a 100-mile ride working to raise money either on a per mile basis or from a flat pledge from generous donors across the country and world. This event attracts over 70 members and alumni each year. If you are interested in donating on behalf of a rider, please contact Michael McClure.
