Introduction


Chinese Student & Scholar Association of the University of Colorado at Boulder, CU-CSSA, is an organization serving the Chinese community around Boulder, Colorado area. Everyone, not just Chinese, is welcome to join CSSA and take part in our activities.

 

Constitution


1.   CU-CSSA is a non-profit, non-political organization registered at the University of Colorado at Boulder .

2.   CU-CSSA mainly serves for Chinese students and scholars of CU as well as their families.

3.   CU-CSSA membership is open to everyone, not just Chinese, with two requirements:

a.      He/She does not infringe upon the interests of CSSA

b.      He/She pays the annual membership fee.

 

Council Members


The council will be re-elected, at the beginning of each fall semester, consisting of a president and a 5-10 other committee members appointed by the president. The president must be a full-time student and is selected by the previous president through an interview at the end of each school year. The presidential term is limited to one year.

 

Purpose


 

主旨:服务会员,建设CSSA为中国学生学者的快乐家园;

宣扬中国发展及文化,建设CSSA为国际友人了解中国的健康窗口。

  1. 代表中国学生学者联谊会联络CU Boulder校方、中国驻芝加哥总领事馆、其他华人社团、美国政府机构及其他官方或非官方机构,在重要活动的举行、关键事务的处理方面争取各界的协助与支持,并针对涉及会员正当权益的重要事件上进行交涉。
  2. 管理联谊会会员组成,维护联谊会性质;管理联谊会公共财产,保证其有效、合理地使用于联谊会各项活动。
  3. 为会员组织舞会、卡拉Ok晚会、电影放映、体育运动、出游等活动,管理出租中国电影电视录像带。
  4. 维护并更新联谊会网站,为会员提供有效实用的信息交流环境;管理Email List(邮件列表),发布各项有关声明。
  5. 对新来CU Boulder的中国学生学者提供必要的服务:接机,安排短期住宿;帮助他们尽快适应新环境。
  6. 针对本地国际友人组织与中国有关的讲座,电影,文化交流活动,重点宣传现代中国的新发展,同时推广中国旅游文化资源。
  7. 代表中国学学生学者联谊会联谊外界团体以及个人,组织、参与各项文化、信息交流活动。
