Naureen Singh, CEB Secretary

Naureen Singh

My name is Naureen Singh and I am currently the secretary for CEB and a sophomore studying MCDB. I am from Colorado Springs, but my family's heritage is Indian. I used to be extremely shy when I was younger, but I joined Speech/ Debate and ultimately found my voice when I became one of the top 60 speakers in the nation in 2012 and got the opportunity to meet President Obama's speechwriter. I am one of the only Sikhs on campus, and this drove me to join CEB once I transferred from the University of Denver my freshman year. I joined CEB primarily as a way to get involved, but that reason slowly evolved when I realized the impact CEB has on CU students and filling cultural voids on campus. As cliché as this might sound, CEB is the reason why I love CU as much as I do because it has given me a family away from home. I know 5 languages fluently and I am obsessed with narwhals, horror movies, and Oreos. One neat thing about me is my dad is the highest-ranking officer in the US Army with a turban and I have never cut my hair.
