Regulation Drill Sequence (IDR) Without Arms (Navy, USMC)

The team commander must check in with the Field House Commander in order to move to the on-deck position.

The team must remain quiet and not disturb the team performing.

The team will have 1 minute, from the double whistle to the single whistle, in order to form up anywhere outside the boundary, but not infringing on any other drill floor. This leaves the West Boundary or the East Boundary.

The team must remain outside the floor boundary until the single whistle sounds; at which time, the team may enter the floor and grading will begin.

Sequence commands must be given in order; however, commands may be added in between without penalty. If a command in the sequence is skipped, no commands will be counted until the skipped command is given.

At the single whistle, enter the drill floor at quick time and halt centered on the judge’s table and execute the proper facing movement in the direction of the table.  Then proceed with the following sequence:

Once the team has completely exited the western boundary, grading ends.

The team must be completely off the floor – this includes pieces of uniforms and/or weapons – by the time the double whistle sounds.

After the team has exited, but before the double whistle sounds, any member of the team or someone with a red line pass may enter the drill floor and collect any stray equipment. The floor must be clear before the double whistle.

Please see the PENALTIES section of the SOP for additional rules and violations thereof.
