Each April, the CU Figure Skating Club produces the Spring
Ice Show. This is a two or three performance show with over 125 skaters
including a guest skater, learn to skate students, morning freestyle skaters
and club members. Preparation starts in the fall, when we select
the theme and music and start designing costumes and props. All skaters
who wish to participate in the show must pay a registration fee during
the registration period in February. Club members, who volunteer
their time to run various parts of the show, are exempt from this fee.
In the fall, the club selects a producer for the show as well as coordinators
for music, costumes and the set. We will also need coordinators for
the program, tickets and flyers, the bake sale, registration, volunteers
and publicity in the Spring. The show is a huge production and is
a lot of fun to help organize. If you are interested in participating
in the show or helping out, please come to the club meetings in the fall.
