The University of
Colorado Equestrian Club is a very active student organized club involved with
competing in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. The club provides
opportunities for club members to learn horsemanship skills and take riding
lessons.

Officers: 2 Coaches as well as President, Vice-President,
Secretary, Fundraising/Treasurer, Activities Director, and IHSA Liaisons
(English + Western).

Who do we Compete Against?: Other schools in our six
state region of IHSA, includes: Wyoming, South Dakota, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma
and Colorado. Equestrian members compete in regional events across the
front-range as well as zones and nationals competition.

Membership Requirements:
1. Be a full-time,
fee-paying student in good standing at CU.
2. Pay Club dues of $75 + 5 fundraisers ($50 each) per
semester.
3. Take minimum number of lessons per semester for each
discipline planning to show in (5 in fall, 4 in spring)

How is Money Raised?: The fundraisers are the
largest money makers (about $100 per person, per activity). These fundraisers
are crucial for the existence of the club. Fundraisers include: concessions,
work at football games and basketball games, sale of Krispy Kremes, beg
letters, and several others that vary year to year.
