About
the BCA
Promoting Unity in Diversity The purpose of the Bahá'í Campus Association is to stimulate, inspire, and serve people in their search to find relationships between modern life and spirituality. We provide a forum for those who are convinced that only through unity can humanity avoid destruction and move resolutely toward a work civilization. Believing that religion is the source of a human's highest aspirations and a powerful force capable of leading humankind to peace and unity, we deal with the principles of the Bahá'í Faith, as well as with the other religions of the world. Our association represents a dialogue among those, whether Bahá'í or not, whose effort to do something about the human condition have brought them to a point where the exchange of ideas and insights will be of common benefit. Brief History Bahá'í clubs exist many universities and colleges throughout the world. The tenets of the Bahá'í Faith are the common thread in all Bahá'í student groups. Here at CU, the Bahá'í club has been functioning off and on since the 1960's. In 1999, the Bahá'í club was re-established as a campus group and it has grown significantly since then - both in numbers and activities. Our goal is to bring people together in a spirit of fellowship, to promote independent and unprejudiced thinking, to foster unity among different racial, ethnic and religious groups on the university campus, and to collaborate with other organizations having similar aims. The Bahá'í Association is a university student group whose membership is open to everyone and not confined to just the members of the Bahá'í Faith. It organizes regular, diverse activities open to all. Who we are The BCA currently has 12 active members. The Bahá'í Campus Association is administered by an elected Board of Directors. Four members are serving on the board of directors this year. Positions include chairperson, secretary, vice-secretary and treasurer.
