Pallet

Battery

Environmental Health & Safety accepts sealed and non-leaking batteries
from pagers, cell phones, laptops, etc. from University operations. Dispose
alkaline batteries as trash. Contact 2-7845 for more info.
Be a Recycling Leader
By "adopting" a campus building, you’ll have the potential to
influence your peers and save dozens of trees. Give us a call to find
out how to educate other students, faculty and staff about the benefits
and proper procedures of recycling.
E.I.R. - Environmental Impact Report
CU Recycling can provide your
hall, building or department an EIR which documents the amount of material
recycled and the equivalent environmental benefits. Display the poster
to show that recycling makes a world of difference!
Tree-Saving
Stack
A four foot stack of newspaper securely
fastened to an attractive base. Designed to give a visual reminder of
the benefit of individual participation: one four-foot stack of paper
recycled, saves the equivalent of a forty-foot Douglas Fir tree.

Green Teams
The Green Teams are students who share environmental information with
students who live on the Hill or in the Goss/ Grove area. Mainly,
the Green Teams help give recycling information to residents of off-campus
households. Many students are living on their own for the first time.
The Green Teams help get them off to the right start. Hopefully, they’ll
keep good habits in future houses too.
We need your help to distribute information on what, when, where and
how to properly recycle. Additionally, the Green Teams share other ‘green’
info—such as composting, energy and water conservation, and waste
reduction—to student households.
The Green Teams meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4:00pm in the Environmental
Center (University Memorial Center, Room 355). Plan to spend 2 hours
spreading
the word on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays. Training and materials
will be provided. For more info, call 303-492-8307 or email
ecenter@colorado.edu.
