Randy DiDomenico , Ph.D.
I have been a long time resident of Boulder and the University of Colorado (CU). I received a double BA in Philosophy, and Environmental, Population, and Organismic Biology from CU, Boulder in 1982. In 1988 I completed a PhD in Neurobiology also from CU Boulder. I have worked on a variety of biology field projects including monitoring acid rain around Colorado , Super Fund site assessment for the Department of Natural Resources, and field research at Lake Valencia in Venezuela . My research in neurobiology centered on the role of individual cells and neural networks in generation of behavior in fish. This also led me into theoretical work on nervous system lateralization, more popularly call split (right/left) brain phenomena, and the evolution of consciousness. More recently I have been involved in general biology textbook writing and overall assessment of biology teaching texts. I have a wide range of experience and I love to teach.
