Slice 'em Dice 'em: Plasma Cutter

The basics of material, manufacturing and laser prototyping: Be an engineer for the week. Design a project of your choice using a laser cutter and plastic (acrylic). This is often a great way to test out a design before manufacturing with an array of materials before putting it on the market. Given certain size constraints make whatever you want (photograph frames with engraved images, photographs engraved in plastic, family name plates, personalized cookie cutters, license plate covers for your parents, puzzles, or even a game (pegs)). Also learn about material science as we make silly putty and learn about fun fluids. If time permits,we'll experiment with the cookie cutters and make jello jigglers or chocolate molds.
