Naturalist Notebook

Leapin' lizards, if you like observing the wonders of nature, and drawing, painting, creating poetry and, oh, so much more, then this class is for you! We'll begin by making our own field notebooks. Then off we'll hike each day into the "field" where we'll learn how to become naturalists. Using our observation skills, watercolors, pencils, and other art media, we'll record what we see, feel, and hear. By the end of the week, we'll be experts in bird, plant, flower, insect, and track identification with our own, personal field notebook to prove it! Please note: Students need sturdy walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, backpack, waterproof windbreaker, a filled water bottle, and a snack each day.
