Girls on the Wild Side! Exciting Outdoor Adventures & Explorations in Science Mid-week we'll spend some time hiking and reflecting before we visit a female scientists' lab on campus where we'll get to participate in cutting edge science activities. The following day we'll head to the Cache La Poudre River to spend time rafting with our women guides! On our last day together, we will meet up with pika expert, Dr. Carron Meaney at the University's Mountain Research Station. Not only will we get the opportunity to observe these wonderful little alpine dwellers up close, but we will also be able to spend the day above tree line in one of the most beautiful locations in Colorado! Please note: A detailed schedule will be sent upon registration. Open to girls having completed 5th -7th grades. Students will be transported in university vans with a trained driver. Most of this class will be spent in the field.
