Exploring Evolution

How do we know that evolution happens? Join in the fun as we perform experiments that will show us some of the overwhelming evidence for evolution. We'll be molecular biologists as we learn how to extract DNA and perform experiments that show how this molecule is common to all life. We'll be archaeologists as we examine skulls of our nearest ancestors. We'll be paleontologists as we examine fossils and the geologic stories they tell. We'll be microbiologists as we examine how ancestral cells evolved.

We'll be astrophysicists as we use information from stars to help us determine the age of the universe. We'll have fun while learning various techniques to figure out how old things are – carbon dating, potassium-argon dating and paleomagnetism. Don't miss out on this unique class filled with lots of fun experiments and creative activities that will help us solve the mysteries of evolution. Please bring a non-peanut snack and a water bottle.
