Aquatic Bug Safari

Join us as we visit the incredible animals that call ponds, streams and seas their home. Discover and study ocean creatures like sea stars, urchins and “jellies.”  Collect crayfish, dragonfly larvae and snails from a stream located within walking distance of the Butterfly Pavilion. Take a look under the microscope to get an up-close look at how these creatures live and breathe in water! Please note:  Some time will be spent outdoors. Students need sturdy walking shoes, wading shoes, hats, daypacks, waterproof windbreaker, filled water bottle, and a non-peanut snack each day, as well as sunscreen and repellent pre-applied.
