THE UCCS RETIRED FACULTY ASSOCIATION

Though UCCS maintained an informal retiree organization for a number of years, it formalized the organization in 2006 with a constitution, bylaws, and elected officers.  The name "UCCS Retired Faculty and Staff Association" (UCCS RFSA) reflects the fact that, unlike the CURFA, it includes both retired faculty and staff.  There are two free luncheon meetings provided each year to all UCCS retirees, regardless of whether they belong to the RFSA.  One is paid for by the Chancellor's office and the other by the UCCS branch of the CU Foundation.  When possible, those luncheons include tours of new  facilities on the rapidly expanding campus.  In addition, there are monthly social meetings at local restaurants. The RFSA has various projects to support the campus, including a book scholarship and financial aid to deserving students.  Our office support is provided by the Foundation.  See our RFSA website for more details at http://www.uccs.edu/~rfsa/.
