MID-TERM ESSAY

RLST 4830: SENIOR SEMINAR

SPRING, 2006

Imagine that you are a part of a new religious group that is creating a religion based on all the writing we’ve read in this course through March 9: Hesse, Watts, Roszak, Christ, Thoreau, Whitman, Marcuse.

Imagine that you’ve been asked to write a brochure to describe the basic worldview, values, and ideals of your new religion. Your brochure has to offer a simple, clear, well-organized explanation that anyone can understand. And it has to tell people why they should at least consider becoming part of this new religious  movement.

It has to be the equivalent of about 5 double-spaced pages.

It is due in class on March 16.
