and as such is imbued with the power of the divine couple.

As manifestation, proceeding through the various ontological levels (Tattvas) from subtlest to grossest, is derived from the desire between a sexually polarized godhead, so too is reintegration to take place. |

view is best summarized by Professor Biardeau (whom Padoux is fond of
quoting) when she says that tantra is "an attempt to place kama, desire,
in every meaning of the word, in the service of liberation…not to sacrifice
this world for liberation's sake, but to reinstate it, in various ways,
within the perspective of salvation"
