Use of the nondiscrimination statement is required on all publications for external audiences. Its use is not optional. Where space is restricted, use the shortest version. Do not alter the wording of these statements, which have been approved by the Department of Equal Opportunity. CU is legally required to include one of the following statements in all publications intended for external audiences. The statement should be set in small roman (nonitalicized) type.
Long Version (used in catalogs)
The University of Colorado at Boulder does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, creed, religion, sexual orientation, or veteran status in admission and access to, and treatment and employment in, its educational programs and activities. The university takes affirmative action to increase ethnic, cultural, and gender diversity; to employ qualified disabled individuals; and to provide equal opportunity to all students and employees.
Medium Version (used in most multiple page publications such as the viewbook and Ralphie’s Guide)

Short Version (used in newsletters and on posters)
