Science Workshops for Teachers

BSI workshops, held throughout the year, emphasize hands-on, inquiry-based laboratory activities appropriate for the classroom. These workshops are designed to help teachers implement the National Science Education Standards. Workshops are available to teachers for little, if any, cost. Most workshops are held on the CU-Boulder campus. Recertification (CDE) credit as well as graduate relicensure credit is available to teachers who complete a classroom report on workshop activities they use with their students. Workshop space is limited to 24 participants each, in order to maintain the high quality of the laboratory experience.

Cancellation/No Show Policy: The Biological Sciences Initiative Workshops are usually filled to capacity and often have waiting lists. If you are accepted for a workshop and are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible (303-492-8230). If you do not attend the workshop and do not notify us ahead of time, you will receive a lower priority when applying for future workshops.

Please note: When you register for a workshop/course, we will send you an email confirmation letting you know whether you got into the workshop or not. If you do not hear from us, please give us a call or send an email. Please do not send a check when you register, we will take care of that the day of the workshop.
