In
our ever shrinking world, the most successful people in the new millennium
will be those who become internationally adept. The Smith Hall International
Program (SHIP) hopes to further students' recognition
of global interdependencies and to promote international understanding.
If
you're a first-year student planning to major in international affairs,
geography, anthropology, a foreign language, or business, the
SHIP program gives you a head start. If you
have not yet decided on a major but have international interests, SHIP
is also a great choice, giving you access to information about
majors that offer an international focus.
This
year-long program, housed in one wing of Buckingham Hall in the Kittredge
complex, provides you with a peer group of 100 students with similar interests,
a committed staff knowledgeable about CU-Boulder's many international
resources, and access to faculty who incorporate their international work
into their teaching and research. It is mandatory for students to live
in the residence hall in order to participate in the program
