CU-Boulder's International Affiliations

Reciprocal affiliations

CU-Boulder currently has formal, reciprocal agreements with a number of overseas institutions.  These affiliations have been formalized by one of the following types of agreements:

  • Honorary Memoranda of Agreements

  • Cooperative Research Memoranda of Agreements

  • Student Exchange Agreements (where we both send to and receive students from our exchange partner)

The full list of current reciprocal agreements can be viewed here:  Current Agreements

An explanation of the different types of agreements and information about how to initiate an agreement can be found at this link:  http://www.colorado.edu/OIE/admin/newaffiliation.html

Affiliations via study abroad programs

Study abroad affiliations:  CU-Boulder also has a number of overseas affiliations through its non-exchange study abroad programs.  A list of these host institutions can be found here:  Study Abroad Host Institutions   These are  universities that CU-Boulder students may attend on a study abroad program but with which we do not have formal exchange agreements.

A full list of official CU-Boulder study abroad programs, including those not based at a foreign institution, can be found here:  Study Abroad programs search page.

NOTE:  The Office of International Education is the central repository for exchange agreements and international memoranda of understanding.  This hasn't always been the case in the past.  If you know of any arrangements that are not included on these lists, please inform our office and we will update our information (email: kim.kreutzerATcolorado.edu; phone: 303-492-2976).

If you would like to initiate a new affiliation, please see this page:
