Accommodations


You will be housed in double rooms in the Kittredge West Residence Hall on the University of Colorado Campus.

The address of Kittredge West Hall is 2400 Kittredge Loop Drive, Boulder, Colorado.

Please note the following:

  1. You will be sharing a room with another Fulbrighter.
  2. Smoking is not permitted in housing facilities or in any buildings at the University.
  3. All individuals who are under the legal drinking age of 21 may not consume or possess alcohol. Individuals who are of legal drinking age may possess and consume alcohol only in the privacy of their room with the door closed. Alcohol cannot be consumed or carried in open containers on any street, sidewalk, alley, automobile, or public area on campus.

Dining

You will take many of your meals at the Center for Coumunity Dining Center. This Dining Center features a wide variety of cuisines (including Persian, Sushi, Latin Comida, Kosher, Italian, a Wholesome Salad Bar, and specialties of the day). There are always vegetarian options.

Internet Access & Computers

If you've brought your own computer with a wireless card, you may use the university's wireless system. 

Phone

Unfortunately there are no pay phones in the residence hall. The closest pay phones are located inside the University Memorial Center (UMC). The phones are located behind the stairs on the first floor of the UMC. The UMC hours are 7am - 10pm.

Recreation Center

Although you will busy with the program for much of the day, you will be able to use the Recreation Center on campus for $6/day if you wish.

Safety

Boulder and the University of Colorado campus are relatively safe places, but you should always be aware of your surroundings.  We especially suggest that you watch your personal belongings when out in public and that you don’t walk around alone at night (always go with a buddy).  Here is a short safety video that may be helpful:

The Fulbright Gateway Orientation is a benefit made available to incoming Fulbright grantees by the Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

This orientation provides an introduction to the U.S. and U.S. higher education to Fulbright scholars who will be conducting research and study in the United States.
